In Australia the trademark process is divided into two steps - Application and then Registration. You can elect to pay all fees up-front or only pay some if we are successful in achieving acceptance of your trade mark application. The Application Fee is paid on Application. It's the cost to make the application and is not refunded if your application is unsuccessful. The Registration Fee (if any) is paid once your application has been accepted. All trade marks are registered for 10 years.
